I am proud to announce the forming of interagency peer support team among many public safety agencies in Coweta County. If you or any public safety personel you... know are interested in being a part of such a group please reach out to your department head and voice your desire to be involved. If you work for CCFR contact me for your application questionnaire. We have envisioned a county wide team of trained peer support members from each surrounding department to include Coweta County Fire Rescue Department, Coweta County Sheriffs Department, Coweta County E911, Newnan Fire Department, and Newnan Police Department. With personnel within each department receiving this state approved Post Certified and GPSTC Certified training and becoming a state certified peer counselor, we can cover each agency with the needed peer counselors for each agency. If we are ever impacted by a large scale incident each department can pull all their counselors together to formulate one large team of state certified peer counselors. This training will take place here locally with in Coweta county at a location to be determined. Member can attend training locally and receive Post and GPSTC certification for the process. In case anyone didn’t know, October is fire safety month. Firefighters usually go to elementary schools to educate children on fire safety and the roles of a Fi...refighter. Well as a result of COVID-19, they were unable to go to the schools this year. Luckily, my dad is a Firefighter and was kind enough to let me bring his fire station to my kiddos! Here is a video we put together for my lesson on fire safety! Niki Cadenhead (posting again so anyone can share ) See more

The 16 house originals. What a fun morning, telling war stories and heroic lies. A GREAT crew.

Of the many great individuals in the fire service with whom I've had the pleasure of working, Frank was the absolute best. It was an honor to be a part of the f...inal moments of your long career. On behalf of everyone who has donned the gear, we wish you a long and happy retirement. Nobody deserves it more! See more

This really touched me this morning, as I was working out around 6:40am I saw a pickup truck pull in the parking lot, I thought Is this person sick do they need... help. As the gentleman backed in the parking spot I saw a Navy tag on the front, he walked over to our September 11th Memorial and took a knee and started praying for a good 10 minutes. This made my day, thank you for showing me there is still people that pray! See more
