Today we had a Donation Presentation to Special Olympics Georgia at the Columbus Police Department. An "oversized check" was presented to a Special Olympics Georgia representative. The funds were raised at the River City Motorcycle Rodeo at the Fort Benning Harley Davidson earlier in September. On September 12, 2020 the Columbus Police Department had a fundraiser for Special Olympics Georgia called the "River City Motorcycle Rodeo" at the Fort Benning Harley Davidson. We had a Back Columbus Blue 9/11 Memorial Service this morning at the Columbus Police Department. Thank you to all of the participants. This event included a first responders' motorcade, moments of silence to remember 9/11, flag presentations, singing of the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, the history of the "Flag of Honor," special speeches, singing of "America the Beautiful," and prayers. #CPDCrimePrevention , #CPDCommunityRelations
