McDonough and Henry County lost a great man today. Commissioner Gary Barham passed away on Tuesday morning, March 2. Between his days with MYA, working for the City of McDonough, and his serving on the BOC very few people have had a bigger impact on McDonough than Gary Barham. On a personal level Gary was a hero of mine. A great man, from a great family. Please keep the entire Barham family in your thoughts and prayers.

McDonough lost a great man. RIP Mr. Bob, thank you for your service.

McDonough is ranked #35 (16 spots up from last year) on the top 50 safest Cities in Georgia list by safewise.com. Georgia has 535 Cities, so to be in the top 50 is a big accomplishment. Thank you to McDonough PD for being so proactive in making our City safe.

Congrats to Shaquille O’Neal and Zach Murray. Both have invested a great deal of time, energy, and money into our community. I look forward to seeing what the future holds and the dividends of the work they are doing. Thank you!
