THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE!

Our second stop today: Our Giving Garden on Cooper Lake Road, getting ready for spring! Logged another 6 hours of service loading wheelbarrows with mulch, pulling rocks and debris out of garden beds, tearing down a shed, and wrestling with fallen tree limbs and wisteria vines! We got to play in the dirt! Woot!

Super productive day of service! Our first stop today, we logged 8 hours at MUST, sorting through 2 huge bins of canned and boxed goods! Dang, those expiration dates are printed small!

We have a meeting on Thursday, January 24, 730pm at CookOut across from Big Chicken. We will finalize the Urban Hike plan and determine the finances of the event. Crew members: Please come to the meeting!

Super Great Time! Our charter, SFUMC, hosts a Children's Craft Event every November called Hands On Christmas. This year, we manned 3 activities: IDENT-A-CHILD, which gathers information and stores it, readily available in the event a child is lost. The info makes it easier for agencies to share and use in the search LETTERS TO HEROES, where the children create cards, letters and art to send overseas to active service personnel, and to Veterans, First Responders and Injured S...oldiers here at home WOOD BLOCK MANGERS, creating the manger story with felt cut-outs on wood blocks WE HAD A BLAST! Supporting our Community Partners! COOL CARS AND COPS - Community Festival MARK YOUR CALENDARS........for October 27th, 2018 ... The Cobb County Police Department's Community Affairs Unit and the West Cobb Business Association is hosting its first annual "COOL CARS AND COPS" community festival. The event will be on October 27th, 2018 from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm and will be held at the Lost Mountain Baptist Church, which is located at 5400 Old Dallas Rd., Powder Springs, Ga. 30127. The event will have a large car show, a Trunk-or-Treat (have the children dress up in their Halloween costumes), inflatables, food trucks, and more. The entire event is FREE and a great time will be had by all. We are looking for club and individual enthusiast who have cars they would like to put on display. All types, makes, and models..classic cars, exotics, tuners, project cars, all are welcome. Trophy prizes will be awarded. There is no fee to enter your vehicle(s).
