Bladder leakage can be embarrassing, especially when it interferes with everyday activities. Leakage can occur with things as simple as sneezes, coughs, laughing, and exercise... and more severe cases can experience leakage without cause. Bladder leakage is common and it occurs in approximately 25% of women over the age of 18. The good news is that many women can be cured or show improvement with medical intervention. Medically speaking, it is known as incontinence. Those experiencing urinary incontinence should speak to their gynecologist to discuss corrective options. Did you know that FREE Childbirth Education classes are offered at Coffee Regional Medical Center for our expecting mothers? This is a very interesting and educational class that all new mothers (& fathers) are sure to enjoy. All attendees are required to bring a face mask and wear it at all times within the hospital. All classes are taught by Prenatal Educator and Childbirth Instructor, Laree Vickers, RN, CLC.
