Dear Choral Society, It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Dennis Huthnance, a long-time singer and generous supporter of the Choral Society of Middle Georgia. When I joined the Choral Society under Doctor Keith, Dennis faithfully attended and sat in the front of his bass section in his wheelchair. About a year ago, when he decided he could no longer sing with us, it was the end of an era. Hart's Mortuary has been entrusted with all arrangements. Followin...g is a link to his obituary. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Singers, Due to the extraordinary health situation that we continue to face with the COVID-19 virus, I regret to inform you that we will have no more rehearsals for CSMGA this Spring and our Sunday, April 19, 2020 concert of the Haydn "Lord Nelson Mass" has been cancelled. I want to thank you all for your dedication to the Choral Society. Please know that we plan to resume our rehearsal schedule in August to prepare for our Fall 2020 and Messiah concerts.... As the situation permits, we will plan for a group get-together over the summer. For now, please stay safe! - Stanley Roberts, Director Note about Spring dues you paid: All of you who paid dues for the Spring have the following three options for distribution of those dues: 1. Receive a full refund of your Spring dues. 2. Apply your Spring dues to payment of Fall 2020 dues. 3. Designate your Spring dues paid as a donation to CSMGA, with the option of designating the gift in memory or in honor of someone. Simply send an email with your preference to [email protected]. We will maintain a record of everyone's choice. For those of you requesting a refund, we will get a check to you as soon as possible. Great fall concert season everyone. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, the Happiest of Holidays, and a Wonderful New Year. Rehearsals for the spring will resume on Monday night, January 13.
