The newest Infantry-Soldiers just received their coveted Blue Cords. The Soldiers of Delta Company are now part of an elite group of the US Army that can call themselves Infantry-Soldiers. The quiet ceremony started with awarding the Platoon Honor Graduates with a Certificate of Achievement. 1st Platoon: PVT Dewey... 2nd Platoon: SPC Holtzclaw 3rd Platoon: PVT Mascarro 4th Platoon: PVT Tlapa Then the best of the best were awarded an Army Achievement Medal: Soldier of the Cycle: PVT Baker Highest RM Score: PVT Hammock Highest ACFT Average: PVT Dewey After the awards, the DS and Cadre of Delta Company placed the Blue Cord on all the Soldiers, signifying their place as part of the Infantry. Tomorrow they will walk across the Graduation field at the National Infantry Museum. They will also be the media platform that live streams the graduation. 1SG Kline gives a motivation talk and presents PVT Barnes a special set of cross rifles that he will carry through the final mission and to Honor Hill. PVT Barnes is the youngest Soldier in the Company. It is also, coincidently his 18th Birthday. The crossed rifles he carries will be pinned on the Company Guidon during the Honor Hill ceremony. This symbolizes that class 20-066 has completed all the OSUT requirements and they are on their way to graduation. #letslipthedogsofwar

Final Planning and Preparation is underway for the final Mission. The Soldiers of Delta Company will SP in a few hours, around 2030, on an Approach March to Attack and Secure Objective Cross Rifles to finish off their FTX. Then, when they are at their most tired, cold, and exhausted state of mind, they will walk another 3 miles to Honor Hill. #letslipthedogsofwar
