So this is a follow up to my last instagram post. This is the engine that the small piece in my hand came from. It is a standard bore 427 Ford FE block with the cross bolted mains. All of the side bolt spacers are numbered and hand fit when these engines were machined at the factory. It has been fun. The final step in the process. This beautiful 1969 396 Big Block Chevy engine from California Car Company is on the DYNO. Once this is done, it will be ready for pick up. The factory rated 325 horsepower engine reached 367 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 447 torque at 3100 rpm after the restoration.
