Dawson County Parks & Recreation is now accepting vendor and non-profit applications for the annual Spring Sports Opening Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Rock Creek Park. This year marks 49 years of parks & recreation in Dawson County - come help us celebrate one of the biggest days of the year! Food/beverage vendor spaces at this event are limited since our concession stands will be open. All other vendor spaces will be limited to 1 booth space per company/organization. Indoor Courts CLOSED February 5-6

Park & Rec Night for all park & rec. basketball teams is this Friday, January 8th at the DCHS basketball games. All players and coaches in uniform will get in for free; however, only the teams who notify Caleb Randolph, DCPR Athletic Director, in advance will be announced during half-time of the Varsity Girls game. Information was sent to our coaches several weeks ago in reference to letting the park know what teams would be attending. Only those teams that notified... Caleb that they would be attending will be announced; however, ALL players are invited to come and will get in free if they are in uniform. Come out and cheer on all of our high school basketball teams as they battle the court against Cherokee Bluff! JV Girls: 4:00pm JV Boys: 5:30pm Varsity Girls: 7:00pm Varsity Boys: 8:30pm Please contact Caleb Randolph at [email protected] if you have questions.

** Spring Registration - WALK-IN Begins February 1st ** ONLINE REGISTRATION will remain open 24/7 through midnight on February 8th! ONLINE REGISTRATION customers, please see below:... 1. When setting up your account, if you are a Dawson County resident (meaning you pay taxes in Dawson County), please make sure you type in DAWSON (doesn't have to be all caps) in the "county" field; otherwise, the system will recognize you as a non-resident and will charge you the $20 non-resident fee even though you are a DC resident. If you already have an activity in your cart and then realize the non-resident issue, you will need to clear your cart, go into your account to edit the "county" field, then re-add the activity to your cart. 2. You must add your child(ren) to your account before you can proceed with online registration; otherwise, the system will tell you that you are not eligible to register due to age ineligibility. 3. The mobile version (phones & tablets) of our online registration site is currently not allowing customers to add members to their accounts (we're working with the software company to get this fixed - in the meantime, please use a desktop computer or laptop).

We are happy to announce that our facilities are back open and ready for you! Our Rec. Centers are open Monday-Saturday 8am-9pm and Sunday 1-9pm. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while we closed down our Rec. Centers over the holiday break to sanitize and clean for you.

Drive-in movie starts in a little less than an hour! Parking is now open and closes at 5:20. Cars will enter through the parking lot entrance closest to the playground and will exit through the far end of the parking lot closest to the movie screen. Cars will be parked every other parking space. Movie starts at 5:40. Showing Elf!
