Our perspective can be a liability, or the way God keeps us from getting stuck. And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God ...because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrificethe kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 NLT #CR #CelebrateRecovery #Perspective CelebrateRecovery.com

Have you ever considered what surrendering your life to Christ would look like? It is more difficult to surrender your life to Christ, the good and the bad, if you’ve never completed your inventory. This is one of the reasons Step 4 is so valuable in the 12 Step process of Celebrate Recovery. How can you surrender something if you don’t even know it’s there? Step 4. We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. ... Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. Lamentations 3:40 NIV If you’ve never completed a Step Study, consider joining one the next time your local CR starts one up. If have done Step Studies before, maybe your Inventory could use some new attention at this stage of life? #CR #CelebrateRecovery #Surrender CelebrateRecovery.com

In their session on Codependency, Cheryl and Jeni Baker highlight ways to find out value in God instead of other people. When we find out value in God we are mo...re likely to find success in our recovery. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1 NIV For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:14 NIV If your interested in seeing some teachings on recovery topics, head to CR-Connected.com to find over 50 videos of incredible recovery content. #CR #CelebrateRecovery #Truth CelebrateRecovery.com

We are continuing to provide live online lessons, with testimonies in between. This evening at 6:00 PM PST, on Celebrate Recovery’s Facebook page and YouTube ch...annel, Johnny Baker will provide a LIVE teaching of the Sanity lesson. This is lesson 4 of the 25 CR lessons. Note: The CR National Team has received special permission from their publisher to teach the copyrighted CR lessons online. While this online permission does not carry over to local ministries, we are grateful that the publisher has made this exception for the CR National Team. #CelebrateRecovery #CR #CRCR #Sanity

Jesus called His soon-to-be-named disciples to a higher place, a spot away from the crowd. Crowds had been following Jesus as He was performing miracles. Then ...He went where the crowds weren’t and called His disciples to join Him. How many times have we chosen to stay with the crowd instead of stepping out to follow Jesus? Maybe it’s the way we were raised? Or is it how all our friends do life and we don’t want to lose our friends? Perhaps all we’ve ever known is what the culture around us has taught us. Hanging with the pack isn’t always bad, unless it is against what God is calling you toward. Regardless of what our crowd is doing, Jesus is calling us to join Him at a higher place... to consciously choose to commit our will to His care and control. God give us the power to follow. #CR #CelebrateRecovery #Jesus CelebrateRecovery.com
