November 4, 11 a.m. Units responded to a house fire @ 4523 Boxwood Trl. E4 arrived on the scene of a one story home with flames showing from the garage area. E4 deployed two attack lines. One for fire attack in the garage. The homeowners car caught fire. E20 took the second line though the front door to keep the fire from extending into the home. Company 20 handled a primary search. E4 handled their own water supply. No injuries reported. Great job everyone.

Dekalb County Fire Rescue Department 31.08.2020

November 2, 3:10 a.m. Units responded to an apartment fire at 4700 North Hills Parkway. Once on the scene, Company 18 arrived to smoke and flames showing from the first floor screened porch. Chamblee PD was already on the scene evacuating residents from the structure. Company 18 and Engine 15 stretched multiple attack lines to the first, second and third floor of the apartment building to contain the fire from extending into the attic. Everyone was evacuated safely. No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Units were dispatched to the report of a structure fire at 5449 Memorial Dr at Minas Kitchen. E23 arrived on scene to find a 1 story commercial strip mall with water flow and light smoke showing. E23 declares a working incident, asked the next in Engine to bring a positive water supply, and began working on gaining entry to the structure. TK23 laddered the A side of the building and Q24 took the B/C corner. BN5 arrived on scene and assumed command. TK23 went to the roof to i...nvestigate and HR24 forced a door to gain access to the C side of the structure. SQ24 completed a primary. One 1 7/8 Combat Ready attack line was stretched interior for fire attack. E11 obtained a positive water supply and E 3 assisted with interior operations. Once inside crews found a small fire in the rear of the structure and obtained a quick knock down. The quick actions of all crews on scene led to a quick knock down on the fire, minimal damage to o the property and prevented extension to three neighboring businesses. October 26th It was a busy morning for DeKalb County Fire Rescue. Two working structure fires took place within less than an hour of each other. At 12 a.m., units responded to a working hotel fire at 4200 Wesley Club Dr. Units arrived on the scene to smoke showing from the roof of the three-story structure. A second alarm was called due to the amount of people that needed to be evacuated. The fire was located and was running a pipe chase from the first floor to the roof. ...No injuries were reported at the scene. The fire is under investigation. Then at 1 a.m., a business fire was dispatched to 6287 Memorial Dr. with reports of an entrapment. Units arrived on the scene to smoke showing from a first story window.. While stretching attack-lines the flames broke through the window. Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames. Thankfully no one was trapped inside. Stay safe everyone. Great job. See more
