Our team is growing! The DL Moore Agency would like to introduce our newest team member, Derek Mitchell! Derek is a 21-year United States Air Force Veteran (Retired) who still believes in and applies the AF core value of Service before self. A common question Derek gets is Why insurance? and Derek’s answer is an easy one. In his own words, Growing up, one of my most inspirational memories were visits from a gentleman that went by the name Mr. Riddick. He frequently vi...sited our home, dressed in a very nice suit, always with a smile, saying how can I help you today? That resonated with me in so many ways. Mr. Riddick was the local door-to-door insurance agent that was always there when you needed him to assist with your insurance needs. It sparked my interest to help families, individuals and helped me to prepare for my own life and family. I’m married to a devoted wife and have two wonderful children, so protection, dedication and commitment are values that helped lead me to this field and has contributed to my success over the years. Derek obtained his Property & Casualty insurance license while working for Allstate and has not looked back. It was there that he learned how to effectively apply skills that he learned to help others. Firsthand experience helped him appreciate the needs and importance of insurance, the choices you make, and how those choices can impact you and your family for years. My immediate responsibility is to work with clients to find a policy that fits their needs, lifestyle, and that provides the coverage they can depend on when needed most.
