Our featured wine of the week is Crossbarn Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Napa Valley, California. . .... Capturing the diversity and complexity from the region, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a dark ruby hue with aromas of crushed violets, graphite, and blueberry. A burst of licorice and boysenberry are revealed on the palate carried along by bright savory spices and mineral notes that persist throughout. Polished tannins kick in giving the wine a soft texture along with a lively acidity that gives the wine a clean, extended finish. See more
The flavors of fall are delightful and tonight’s featured special is absolutely exceptional. . . Braised rabbit and butternut squash risotto, shoestring carrots, parmesan sage crisp, and candied pumpkin seeds.

New wines have arrived and they are absolutely exceptional. . . Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert 2018... Zinfandel Blend Napa Valley, California An opaque core with a red amethyst rim, the wine opens with ripe raspberry and blackberry, dark plum preserves and hints of black pepper and clove. An entry of heft, the palate is packed with blueberry and sweet black cherry along with touch of fresh herbsthyme, savory and tarragon. Long on the finish, the ripe tannins, a dash of ash, and notes of black tea round out the wine. . . Orin Swift Machete 2017 Napa Valley, California Petite Syrah Blend Pure inky garnet in the glass, the aromatics of plum compote, wild blackberries, crushed gravel, peanut brittle and Tahitian vanilla emanate. Massive on the entry, the mid-palate is diverse with flavors of dark plums, black pepper, Amarena cherries, slow-roasted Moroccan lamb and a marbled leather texture. Rich, enveloping and vivacious, the wine finishes with perpetuating energy and lengthnot to mention the satisfying tannins that rouse a desire for more.

Our featured wine this week is Racanati Merlot Galilee, Israel 2019 . . Select grapes are hand-picked before undergoing gentle pressing, followed by 8 months of aging in French oak barrels. Recanati Merlot is medium-bodied and garnet-hued, with generous fruit aromas and lingering flavors of vanilla and red berries.
Inspired by the flavors of the season, @dovetailchef presents his braised rabbit and pumpkin dumplings small plate with crispy sage and candied walnuts.

Our featured wine of the week is Marietta Angeli Zinfandel 2016 Alexander Valley, California . . Earthy undertones with plenty of cedar, tobacco, licorice and herb nuances. Restrained for a California Zinfandel, this medium bodied wine hits all the right notes with depth and freshness.
