Santa will be on the porch at Joy Company Market this Saturday, December 12th during Countryside Antiques one day Holiday market. Beginning at 10 a.m, there will be a professional photographer taking pictures until 1 p.m. for $5, or you can take your own pictures for free anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. After visiting Santa, make sure you stroll down Harrison St. and shop 50 vendors between Joy Co. Market, Countryside Antiques and House of Clay Braselton. There will also be food trucks and live music! Look Who’s Coming to Town! JCCHS Panther Band Downtown Braselton is excited to welcome the Jackson County High School Colorguard, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 5) on the Town Green. The fun starts at 2pm and they will perform for about an hour. Come out and support our local students as they entertain you for the holidays! 9924 Davis Street. Flashback Friday! Today we are visiting the Braselton Brothers Department Store building. Currently the old mercantile space is empty and being prepped for some renovation. Here are a few photos we took of the exterior doors located on the 2nd floor. Aren’t they something? Check out the door hardware. They just don’t make it like that anymore! Can't wait to see that all cleaned up! The Braselton Brothers constructed the main floor of this building in 1904. A large 3 story addition was done in 1910. The Braselton Urban Redevelopment Agency plans to reopen it as a multi-tenant building in mid-2021. We are excited to introduce the 1904 Original Braselton Mercantile and share with you the progress as we uncover the old and make it new again. #braseltonmainstree #downtownbraselton #the1904
