It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of Dr. Nelson Clements's passing on Friday, December 14. As you may know, Dr. Clements battled throat cancer a number of years ago. He beat cancer, and it never came back, however the chemotherapy and radiation treatments took a toll on him, especially his lungs, and his body just couldn't keep up any longer. Dr. Clements was active and practicing even up until the end of last week, doing what he loved: helping patients with be...autiful dentistry. He passed away peacefully on Friday morning. You and all of our other patients are so important to us, and we want to assure you that, even with Dr. Clements being gone, we will continue to give you the best in dental care. Our office will be closed this week through January 1 as we mourn, prepare Dr. Clements's memorial service, and observe the holidays. Thank you for your patience during this time. The office will reopen on January 2, and Karen, Keely, and the team will look forward to seeing you. We do not yet have the name of the new doctor who will be working with us, but we will share more details with you as they become available. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Hi, all. For those that are not aware, our dad, Nelson Clements, passed away yesterday morning. Jason and I, along with the entire extended family, are so very ...grateful for your calls/texts/visits over the past 24 hours. For those who have asked, visitation will be Monday from 5-7 at McLane in Valdosta. We will have a memorial service, also at McLane, Tuesday at 12pm. We love you lots and are grateful for your prayers during this time. His passing certainly leaves a big hole in our lives, as well as the lives of his patients, friends, and coworkers. **In lieu of flowers, it was Daddy’s wishes that donations be made to The Haven in Valdosta, GA.
