Just maybe you’re finding yourself much like Sarah of the Bible. You feel somewhat angry and upset; And it’s all because you’re fearing that someone else will give birth to the promise that you think should’ve been yours. Be careful and don’t ever allow such bitterness to enter into your heart. It is deadly and it could easily cause you to totally abort your promise. Look...If God said it was yours...Then sit back and patiently wait for God’s perfect timing...For it is yours.... You should know by now that things can get terribly messed up...When you’re foolish enough to try to help God out with His plans for His purpose in your life. The truth is that no one can successfully make a divine promise come to pass on their terms or on their carnal timetable. It simply will not work; Not for you and not for anyone. So be very careful or you will end up giving birth to a fleshly promise and then things would really get messy. Just ask Abraham, Sarah and Hagar. Remember this...God never allows any of His promises to be birthed through a surrogate womb. Keep in mind that even though a snake sheds their skin; It’s a fact that a snake will never shed their nature and their actions. The very core nature of a snake is to be really sneaky; And they sneak up on you at the most inopportune time. The dangerous thing is they usually somehow camouflage themselves; And all the while they’re looking for the right person, the right situation and the right time to pounce on their innocent and unsuspecting prey and put them down or totally... take them out. They do this in order to fulfill their own agenda at the moment. No matter how good their camouflage may look; But underneath they are still the same old deceptive and sneaky snake. So beware of these snakes in the grass of your life; For they’re simply waiting to strike out at you when you least expect it. The bad thing is if you do happen up on one and then mess with that snake...It only takes one of their strikes at you and it’ll totally bring you down and put you out of the equation. I guess you could liken a snake to the leopard. Remember the wise old saying, a leopard never changes its spots. Yes, somethings in life just never changes..So be on guard and tread lightly. We know that David won the battle when he killed the giant in I Samuel 17. But even though he won that battle; His warfare days were far from being over. So it is with you and I today as we each have our own battles to fight. Oh, how we all thank God for the times we win, but then there are the other times that we’ve gone down in defeat. I’d like to think that you have more victories than you have defeats. However, in each of our lives we WILL lose a battle at times; And no,... that’s not a bad confession...It’s just the facts of life and living in the real world. Let me encourage you today and tell you that even when you do lose a battle...You are still a winner. You can have joy and peace in knowing this...That yes, you may have lost the battle you just came through; But because of what Jesus did for you on Calvary’s Cross; You can thank Him that you have already WON the WAR. So today, by faith walk tall with your head held high and peace in your heart because you have The Victor (Christ Jesus) living in you and through you...And He has already given you the victory. There’s many really good people growing tired and weary of even trying anymore. But right now I believe God is asking someone to try just one more time. I’m telling you that it’s not time for you to GIVE UP...But it is time for you to GET UP and move on.
