The KAST/TN Bass Nation State Event went very well this weekend in large part to the Tennessee Kayak Anglers' Tournament Trail Group & their hard work in a craz...y time. I got my tail kicked all weekend but fought the entire 2 days. I fished every second of each day minus about 5 minutes to eat a sammich. In total I had 17 fish come unbuttoned which landed me near the bottom 3rd of 99 anglers. It's definitely not where I wanted to be. While I'm happy our Tennessee Valley Kayak Anglers of Chattanooga did well my terrible results leave me deflated as we lost the Team Paddle. TNKATT deserves it, they all put together limits I believe & showed great class. Craig Dye & some others started the team paddle deal as a side thing at state each year. It's grown to be what most all of us focus on, winning that paddle together. I can't thank him enough for that as it's helped create a huge bonding tool for us all. Congratulations to Ryan Lambert on a smashing win. Brad Golden, Terry Golden, & Garrett Campbell had top 10 finishes. I couldn't be more proud to fish with you all. This is probably the least prepared I've ever been for an event and that won't happen again. It's been a long but rewarding season. See y'all soon. See more
