Hey friends, I'm sad to write that barring a force majeure or a Christmas miracle, El Dorado will be closing its doors by the end of the year. Yes, all good things must come to an end, like the McRib and the Trump administration. We simply can't afford to keep paying rent until last Easter when all of this will go away with the summer heat. We're currently investing all our leftover monies in scratchers and monkey paws. We're also in negotiations with some very prominent in...vestors from Nigeria to help give our little project the cash infusion it needs. Keep your fingers crossed. It's been a wonderful experience that I would have only traded for Super Bowl tickets and a dozen Dominique Ansel cronuts. We hoped to crush not only all the other local improv spots, but also all the local college/professional team venues and local Applebee's during happy hour. Alas, just as we were getting our rhythm, Covid sucker-punched us. All kidding aside, we are grateful and embarrassed by all the love and support we received from so many of you. I saw some of the best shows and sat with some of the best audiences of my life in this little corner of the world. Failing to hit your audio and light cues to your performances was never funnier to me. I hope to find a way to bring it back soon, somehow. We pray it's before Kendall goes mainstream.
