THREE YEARS Three years ago, we opened our roastery and coffee bar in Armour Yards. We're so thankful for the support you all have shown us since. Andrew was one of our first three baristas when we opened our coffee bar back in September 2017. Soon after he started, his knack for detail and method compelled us to try him in the roastery, helping with production and roasting. Over the last nearly three years, he’s roasted countless batches of coffee, moved countless 152-lb. bags of green coffee from the warehouse, stickering and dating countless bags. He has stayed late, cleaning or fixing the roaster when needed. He... has had a hand in (sometimes literally) so much of the coffee you’ve gotten from us since September 2017. This weekend, he’s moving to Philadelphia to further his education. He’ll be missed. Andrew, thank you for all the hard work over the last few years. Your contributions have been massive. Bon voyage. We’re joining our friends at @littletartbakeshop and Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice and are donating 10% of our sales this Sunday, Father’s Day, to @colorofchange. We’re but one of the coffee shops (and restaurants) across 16 southern cities participating in this effort, which is designed to support Black-led organizations that are working to dismantle systemic racism and oppression in our society. As a coalition, we’ll work together monthly to raise money for these important organizations.
