There's excellent news coming out of the City of West Point and the City of Moultrie - Government. ~ In its continuous bid to revitalize Georgia's rural downtow...ns, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, in partnership with Georgia Department of Economic Development, has designated the cities of West Point and Moultrie among other Georgia cities as a R.U.R.A.L (Revitalizing Underdeveloped Rural Areas Legislation) Zone. ~ After a rigorous process, this designation, which will last for five years, hopes to stimulate investment, job creation, and economic development in these historic downtown areas.
