Congratulations to Buford Football on their State Championship Victory! This season was special for so many reasons. Coach Bryant Appling resoundingly took the helm to lead the Wolves to victory in his first year as Head Coach. Including wins over 2 ranked 7A opponents, and tough playoff contenders. Many would have been happy enough with a solid 2019 effort, or signs of a promising rebuild. Rather than settling, the team found an excuse to Win! Every opportunity to possibly concede, was answered with game winning 2pt conversion, fake punt, 4th down conversions and plays from the archives. The Wolves overcame key injuries and battled adversity. ELITE Sports Medicine, Dr Steve Hatfield, and Makayla Stacy, ATC @makaylastacy are proud to a part of the Buford program and it’s legacy. #bufordfootball #bufordwolves

Adversity is the Fuel of Greatness. This time last year, I scooped up what was left of @cartercolquitt from the football field. What took place from then to now is truly inspirational. A season ending knee injury requiring a complex surgical repair. From that moment, Carter was focused and intent. He never missed a day and attacked every workout with 1 goal in mind. To get better! Not better, as in recovered. BETTER! Better than before. Better than the competition. Someti...mes, the achievements were small. He scared everyone in the building when, early in the post-op rehab, he accomplished the goal for the day of 90 degrees of knee flexion. Seeing the measurement, he let out a victory yell and screamed, NINETY! startling everyone. Carter left gallons of sweat at ELITE Sports Medicine, accepted every challenge, and got BETTER! Adversity exists to show you how powerful you are, and how resilient you can be. We are proud of you Carter and look forward to watching you at @olemissFB #EliteAthlete #SEC #OleMiss #Buford #sportsmedicine #DPT #ATC
