Horse of the Week. Hannah is a 13.3 hand lovely chestnut pony mare. A long time resident of our barn, she is a beginner favorite and a show ring star. A few years ago Hannah and her junior rider placed 5th nationally in the training level division of pony dressage. Hannah along with our other lesson horses can also be sponsored. To read more about why and how to sponsor please go here: http://www.ellenwoodequestrian.com/becoming-a-sponsor/
We are excited to announce the completion of our new website. Many of you have asked how you can help us during this time so we have implemented a feature on the site which lets you make a donation or sponsor a lesson horse. This will help us in the upkeep of our horses during the coming months ahead. We are very grateful to everyone for your support. You can visit our new website at: http://www.ellenwoodequestrian.com/
The little ones learning to be independent.
The new normal. We can do this! No, we are not bandits. LOL We are doing lessons with our boarders and regular riders again. We are still not open to the public just yet but hopefully, around the middle of May we might be able to schedule lessons for one time only clients as well. Everyone is happy as they appreciate the efforts we have put into place to keep everyone safe. Again, we thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we try to navigate these uncharted ...waters. Lynn, Leah, and Alex See more
Even though we can't welcome you for a birthday party at this time we will soon be taking small family groups for birthday lesson/trail rides. Contact Lynn around the middle of May - if the Covid-19 numbers have slowed enough we will begin booking then.
Clearly Odessa has created a routine that works for her. Today she is joined by two friends who like this idea - Duncan and Billy.
Odessa loving her prolonged vacation!
To all our boarders, lesson students, summer campers, birthday party guests, and "one time only" riders; we miss you all. As everyone knows COVID-19 has disrupted our whole lives and changed the way we all do things. Here at EEC we have had to make big changes in our operation. Sadly we are no longer able to run group lessons and host birthday parties. Though it is a bit early to say in this ever-changing narrative, we may not have a 2020 summer camp season. While we hate th...is as much as you do, we can only be operational in good conscience when we know that we are able to keep everyone safe. We are currently looking to ease into the lesson program slowly, hoping to welcome students for private sessions by early May. If the upward trajectory of the country remains positive we hope to be running group classes in the summer months. We greatly look forward to the day when we can once again open our gates and run our entire vibrant program as we have done for the past 20 years. In the meantime, we are busy taking care of the horses you know and love. They are all doing well and thriving, and no doubt wondering what's up with their extended vacation! Needless to say, we have some daunting months ahead of us as we look into creative ways of keeping the doors open. One program we are excited about is the new "Sponsor a Horse" plan. All the pictures, information, and *how-to* details will be posted on our upcoming new website and the EEC Facebook page. We are very excited about this and we are ever grateful to everyone for any support you can offer. We will get through this, and we will all come back stronger than ever. With much gratitude, Lynn, Leah, and Alex
Morgan horse, Grace and American Saddlebred, Reggie from Blue Willow Farm visited residents yesterday at Daisy Hill Senior Living to bring a bit of joy during t...hese uncertain times. It just goes to show, no matter what is going on in the world around us, horses are always able to lift our spirits and put a smile on our face. #FeelGoodFriday #HomeWithHorses Photos: Emily Webster from Daisy Hill Senior Living
