For a parishioner at St. Dunstan’s, concern about the impending eviction crisis was growing, and Rev. Tricia Templeton knew just where to turn. We are grateful to St. Dunstan’s and the anonymous donor’s generous gift of $50,000 to Emmaus House for rent and mortgage assistance to the Peoplestown community. Read more at https://buff.ly/3uuwk0O
Last summer, in partnership with RIP Medical Debt and The Cathedral of St. Philip, we forgave $11.5 million in medical debt for Peoplestown and other struggling communities. This debt reduction gave families a fresh start, allowing them to receive critical medical attention and support for their journey toward financial stability. Recently, we received a note from an individual who wanted to share the impact of your generosity!

Emmaus House was pleased to take part in a community vaccine clinic in South Atlanta this week. We registered 75 individuals to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine through our partnership with Focused Community Strategies. Piedmont Healthcare administered the vaccinations to community members on Tuesday at neighboring Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Residents were both grateful and relieved to have access to this life-saving resource in their community.
Our Support for Students program includes an online tutoring service that helps 27 students from the Barack and Michelle Obama Academy. No matter if we are in-person or virtual, we will continue to support our students’ educational development and success. Help us continue this work. Donate at https://buff.ly/2Nx4v1X
