If you start precepting on your own, there’s a good chance you won’t have these benefits. That’s why NPHub is the best choice for you to start precepting . There is growing evidence that people with diabetes might develop acute symptoms if they become infected with COVID-19. They are not more susceptible to infection, but the disease can hit them way harder than the general population. On the other hand, there is also evidence that people with kidney issues might be more susceptible to a severe coronavirus infection. There is an increased likelihood of diabetes patients being admitted to the ICU because of COVID, and there’s al...so a similar likelihood of acute symptoms (and death) for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). If you want to read more to continue to educate yourself and your patients about these risks, check out the full article (with studies and sources) at The Nurse Practitioner Blog here: https://journals.lww.com//NewAndNoteworthy/pages/post.aspx

This week is Urology Nurses and Associates week, so we’re celebrating by sharing with you what they do and why their work is important Urology nurses diagnose, treat, and educate patients regarding issues related to the urinary tract. Other medical concerns in this practice may relate to reproductive organs. These nurses may aid in various types of practices, such as surgery or check-ups. They may also focus their work on certain groups, such as children.... Urology positions are not entry-level since candidates must already hold a nursing license or certification and complete fieldwork before entering urology nursing careers. This nursing specialization is important because it addresses medical issues that can significantly impact life expectancy and quality. These issues can be as minor as kidney stones or as serious as cancer Learn more about what urology nurses do, their salary (and the skills they need to get a better one), and the requirements you need to become one by checking out this article: https://nursejournal.org//urology-nursing-careers-salary-/ Source: NurseJournal
