GCDD has produced a film 6000 Waiting tells the stories of three Georgians with developmental disabilities who are struggling with the complexity and lack of state Medicaid waiver funding. With persistence, courage, and self-determination, they fight to access the resources they desperately need to live life on their own terms. This month, GCDD is kicking off an impact campaign around the film, which aims to educate Georgians about this issue, ultimately increasing empathy for people with disabilities and access to Medicaid waivers for all that need them. The first virtual screening is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. Register at the following link: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSfX_s0P9cKaSOWQ5R/viewform
