DeLaigle House in Augusta, Geogia was built in 1873 for Mary Clark DeLaigle, a 33 year old widow with two small children. The house was built with the idea of taking in boarders to help make ends meet. John Phinizy House on Greene Street in Augusta was built in 1835 by John Phinizy, merchant and Mayor of Augusta in 1837, and designed by architect, Charles Cluskey.
