Best Foot Forward

Best Foot Forward made a surprise visit to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Atlanta today!! Seven 30-gallon bags full of shoes and socks, ready to be distributed throughout the local refugee community!

It may look like someone needs to take out the trash, but these bags are actually filled with donations from UGA students! Over the past couple of weeks, BFF and RefUGA- University of Georgia have held a donation drive in some of the UGA residence halls. In total, we collected nearly 700 items of clothing, all of which will go to refugees who have settled in the Athens and Atlanta areas! THANK YOU to everyone who contributed! THANK YOU SO MUCH to the entire UGA Catholic Center community for your support and generosity!!!! For the past month or so, Best Foot Forward has sponsored a shoe/sock donation drive at the Catholic Center for refugee families in the Athens and Atlanta areas. In total, we collected over 185 pairs of shoes and 100 pairs of socks!

BIG shoutout and a HUGE thank you to Athens Running Company for the hook up today! Incredible donation of 9 pairs of quality running shoes and 6 pairs of socks.
