MUST have the following: General Job Description: Machine Operator III Operators will manage the process of tending to manual or automated equipment in a production process operation. They will perform functions as described by organizational instructions, operating the specified equipment or following production procedures as instructed. Operators will be given initial training and safe operation practices of various machinery and or equipment used in steel door, steel frame and sheet metal fabrication. Operators will perform assigned tasks and functions in accordance with established company safety procedures. Operators must be able to inspect the product or service throughout the production process to ensure final product quality meets the organization's standards. Operators must be able to identify sub-standard product or service and perform corrective actions as instructed by supervisor/management. Operators must be able to read & understand production work-order information, perform their given duties in a timely and accurate manner & be able to accurately use and read a standard measuring tape. Operator’s will be expected to continue their training and understanding of proper manufacturing steps at a given machine or work area, through repetitive operation on a given piece of machinery, understanding of available documentation (Operator’s manuals) and through questioning and feedback with supervisor or management. Physical Requirements Operators are required to lift up to 50 pounds for periods of time throughout a given shift. Operators may also be required to bend, stretch, push, carry heavy objects and stand/sit in certain areas or positions for long periods of time. Operators may be required to work in hot and or humid conditions, based on given work area(s). Operators may also be required to work in areas where chemicals, solvents and adhesives are used on a constant basis, (PPE will be provided).
