Sometimes these car repairs feel like a slugfest and I’ve gotta WIN!! I have no problem investing in tools to allow for diagnosing and repairing the vehicles that come through the doors. Sometimes having all the right equipment just isn’t enough, you gotta think deep and outside the box to get things done, especially when the only alternative means making the dreaded phone call stating that the estimate given isn’t going to even be close!! ... Sometimes that’s the way it goes, but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to give it my best shot at avoiding that call and instead making the call that says, come pick up your car, it’s ready! I spent my morning on this one, 2011 BMW 535 that came from another shop, had the drive belt sucked into the engine through the crankshaft seal. I’ve got the special tools, tried and tried, couldn’t get it out. My only option was going to be involved and expensive. I went ahead and bought the worst case scenario tools. It would have been about a $1200 repair instead of the $345 quote I had to come up with something!! I did and it worked!!

Thought I lost that 5Star Rating today. I try and reach out at the beginning of the month and seek reviews. I’m not perfect, but I give it a great shot! If a situation goes a little sideways, even if it’s unrelated, not my fault or issue, maybe something I’m not going to be able to fix, I’m always going to defer in the clients best interest!! It’s all about the perception!!! It’s just money, and I’m not there with the thought of getting every dollar I can or even feel I... deserve to earn for my time, effort and energies spent, it’s just not that serious to me, I want you as my client satisfied and always feeling like our interactions were positive and you were treated like you mattered, because you do. So when a clients review came back 4Star, I’m going to do what I can to maintain my reputation and keep them 5Stars coming. Fortunately, he messed up and fixed it!!! Just screwin off during lunch break!!

I can only be MAD at myself!! I know better than buying parts from the local parts stores, I just have never been able to count on them. But, when you get a message late Saturday night and a follow up call Sunday morning, you do what you gotta do and what you can with you’re options at the moment. ... This client of mine, 87 years old, in Kidney failure, no family in the near area, with an appointment at 11am Monday morning for dialysis, I gave it a shot. Tow truck drivers stated it had a bad battery. I picked him up a battery and drove it to his home to install it. Unfortunately the alternator was the reason for the dead battery. Had the car towed to my shop. Found an alternator at the local parts store across town. There were 2 options, shoot!! I picked the wrong one. Sent my wife to swap it out. Installed it! What do you know, it’s no good. Unfortunately, I was not successful at getting this car back to my client. I tried!! I’ll order the good stuff tomorrow and get him on the road. I was able to get him a shop car to carry him over. I don’t work Saturdays, Sunday’s or Monday’s, but if there’s a need, I will always do what I can to help out!i

Recertified Master Automobile Technician, well at least for another 5 years Glad it’s done, not a fan of test taking!!
