There are times when anxiety cause our mind and body to disconnect. One of the best ways to calm an anxious mind is to do body work. Obviously exercise is a great way, but some of us aren’t quite ready to go hardcore on that. One of the first things you can do is relax your muscles. If all of your muscles are relaxed, you anxiety switch gets turned off. Give it a try. If it feels a little overwhelming, head to your favorite meditation app (I like Insight Timer) or YouTube and search for body scan.
