We are grateful for the many contributions Jack Whatley made as a friend of Fairview. His loyalty and reliability were a good match for his willingness to do whatever it took make a meeting, fundraiser or gathering successful. Volunteers make our organization run. Jack will be remembered as one of our best.
Come see our campus on October 17, one of our few days open this year. Purchase tickets through the Georgia Trust for their annual Fall Ramble and tour your way through our beautiful part of the state. We have a great day planned, so do drop in.
Good news came this week in the form of a grant to help us improve campus accessibility. Thank you Explore Georgia for this gift of momentum toward our comprehensive goal. https://www.northwestgeorgianews.com//article_65337a16-e56
Many have asked about the sale of individual plates at tomorrow's barbecue. We are pleased to announce that they will be offered as well as pounds of other choice meats and quarts of Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse’s delectable sides. Plates come with pulled pork or chopped chicken plus sides of slaw and baked beans for $10. These are available for walk-ups only. That means you had better come early before they're all gone.... See everyone tomorrow at Rome's Civic Center between 11 am and 2 pm. Look for is at the Johnny Mitchell’s Smokehouse food truck.
Labor Day is right around the corner. So is our annual barbecue! Stock up on smoked meats that you can freeze for the holiday (and buy some that you can eat right away) THIS Friday at the Rome Civic Center from 11 am to 2 pm. Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse will provide brisket, chicken, ribs and more for your dining pleasure. Look for their food truck -- a sure sign that the food is gonna be smoking! To pre-order, visit our website at http://www.fairviewbrown.org. Photo courtesy of Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse.
