Today is day 4 of Georgia’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week!! Lightning Safety Lightning can strike as far as 10 miles away from the base of a thunderstorm, which is about the distance from a storm that you are able to hear it’s thunder.... No place outside is safe when thunderstorms are in the area! Stay In the safe shelter at least 30 minutes after you hear the last sound of thunder. When you hear thunder, immediately move to save shelter, a substantial building with electricity or plumbing or an enclosed, metal tact vehicle with windows up. Stay off corded phones, computers and other electrical equipment that put you in direct contact with electricity. Avoid plumbing, Including sinks, baths and faucets. Stay away from windows and doors, and stay off porches. Do not lie on concrete floors, and do not lean against concrete walls. Last resort outdoor risk reduction tips: Immediately get off elevated areas such as hills, mountain ridges or peaks. Never lie flat on the ground. Never shelter under an isolated tree. Immediately get out and away from ponds, lakes and other bodies of water. Stay away from objects that conduct electricity (barbed wire fences, powerlines, windmills, etc.)

When Training is complete you will be able to perform the following: * Ensure clients receive their medication on time * Support clients who can’t move on their own * Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc. * Assist clients with range of motion exercises * Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions * Help customers with their shopping * Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment * Provide emotional support/watchful oversight * Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency If interested please submit a resume and we will contact you with details on the next steps.
