Thank you for all your many book donations these last couple weeks! We'll begin our book sale this Sunday (3/28) between services and after church at CCS to raise money in support of youth summer camp.

At first glance, the Golden Rule seems to be just a common sense principle regarding how we should treat others, but upon deeper reflection, it is a profound summary of the entirety of God's love, revelation, law, character, and plan of salvation.

While believers' salvation is eternally secure, there is still the real possibility of backsliding in the Christian life. The current circumstances that have faced the church have been a test, and many of us have failed in our faithfulness and spiritual growth. God graciously calls His people back to repentance, restoration and renewed faithfulness.

Each of the Christ-like attitudes and character qualities that believers are called to put on assume that we will be sinned against by others. There is no way to be merciful, forgiving, patient, etc. like He was without being sinned against. Rather than complaining and bitterness, God wants us to take these opportunities to display His glory.
