Emergency response has been part of what we are blessed to be a part of. Along with other ministries and organizations, we send what is needed if we have it. We recently got 500 bottles of hand sanitizer and have been vigorously giving it at distributions. Then more was donated. We have shared it and much more where it is needed. Thank you for helping us help others.

There was no shortage of goods provided to our clients last week! Frozen, canned and boxed foods. Fresh fruits and Veg. Cleaning products and hygiene. Pay special attention to our awesome volunteers who have worked so hard for us during this pandemic. They make curbside distribution possible. A look behind the scenes at Family Life. There’s always something we can be working on for Family Life - even from the comfort of our own homes. Today, Katheryn & Linda & AJ the dog watched a free webinar about nonprofit bookkeeping. We’re not sure how much AJ got out of the presentation, but Katheryn & Linda both took lots of notes!

During black history month wanted to share Jane Gunters memories of Rosa Parks. Next time you're at Family Life ask Jane to share some memories of being on the bus with Rosa Parks. She will also share fond stories of their forever friendship.

Thinking of how to describe Henry Aaron leads me to one word, Waymaker. He helped make a way for others in baseball and in life. His commitment to fighting the good fight, fairly and with any advantage he could offer, should be an example to us all. We at Family Life are proud to have been able to know this man and hear his-story. Maybe you heard it too at our Gala many years ago. Maybe you saw him sitting outside our office early one morning. Maybe you saw him hit one of his 755 Home Runs. Be like him. Be a waymaker for others to follow and keep moving forward. Encourage, listen and take action. Farewell Mr. Henry Aaron.

It is with a heavy heart that we must cancel our Annual Holiday Tea & Christmas Shoppe. This is only the second time in 22 years we have had to do so. . Our hearts are sad but we know you understand. Thank you for asking what we need. Here are a few suggestions: Peanut butter, jelly, canned soup, canned fruit, fruit cups, tuna & chicken breast. Anything you eat are good for our clients as well. Hygiene, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap. Thanks again.

Family Life, in conjunction with Hapeville First Baptist Church, distributed new school supplies to children living in extended stay hotels. More school supplies are available upon request. Please call 404-761-6302 to schedule a time to pick them up. Together we are, People Helping People!

Celebration Wednesday! Many of you helped research batteries and a charger. We ultimately had to scrap that plan and go with purchasing a chair. Our client, who wanted to share this photo and his thanks, will now be much more mobile and self sufficient. Thank you to all!
