Our partner Piedmont Heart Women's Heart Program offers a FREE comprehensive Wellness Program using a holistic approach to heart care for women that fits well with our Steps to C.A.R.E. program. Are you ready to take steps during this challenging time to improve your health for the better days to come? WEEKLY OFFERINGS VIA ZOOM (you must register weekly) Mondays at 10:00 am: Strength and Power fitness class: 45-minute full body strength and cardiovascular building f...itness class. Exercise is essential for building well rounded fitness. No equipment necessary! All levels welcome! Tuesdays at 5:30 pm: Guided meditation: body scan, diaphragmatic and spinal breathing, anchoring into silence. No prior experience required. Wednesdays at 6:00 pm: Adaptive yoga: postural alignment, gentle stretches seated and standing, guided relaxation. No prior experience required. Thursdays at 5:30 pm: Walking and Talking: Join the women's heart program for a weekly mash-up of low-intensity cardio and deep sharing. Let's just walk and talk. Since 2005, Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic has been very successful at searching out volunteer providers to provide the services our patients need. Our primary care providers and medical team coordinate the individualized care patients need with the 89 volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialty care providers. In fact, last year alone, Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic provided $4 million in services for our neighbors in need right here in Fayette County and no doubt it will be ...more this year. Pandemics can be stressful The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a new disease and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make y...ou, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Stress during an infectious disease outbreak can sometimes cause the following: Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones, your financial situation or job, or loss of support services you rely on. Changes in sleep or eating patterns. Difficulty sleeping or concentrating. Worsening of chronic health problems. Worsening of mental health conditions. Increased use of tobacco, and/or alcohol and other substances. Please take care of your mental health!

Patients at Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic receive free healthcare including access to referrals from their provider to health coaching. Our Health Coach, Kathryn Martin, has an extensive background of 20+ years in the health and nutrition industry, as well as a certification in both health and life coaching. We know during this pandemic many of our patients are struggling with stress, fear, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, or worsening of chronic disease health problems.
