Our kids must know that even the good things of this earthly life, the relationships, food, art, and yes... sex all things, when enjoyed for their own sake become enslaving idols. But when they are enjoyed under the Lordship of Christ as expressions of worship to God, they are precious gifts of a gracious God and foretastes of the glory that is yet to come. Christians know how to rightly live for today with a grand hope for tomorrow.

There are two types of people: those who behold God as he is and seek to change themselves to be like Him, and there are those who see themselves as they are and seek to change God to be like themselves. Which one are you?

For all of you asking the questions, "Who am I?" or "How should I identify myself?" Some advice: The comparison game kills. Don’t judge your goodness or sense of well-being by comparing yourself to others. This will never truly satisfy. Compare yourself to who God says you should be, and seek God’s grace in Jesus Christ to become that person. (Philippians 3:1-11)
