Forsyth-Cumming Optimist Club

Yesterday was #OptimistDay and our club was able to participate and spread optimism in three different ways. Our third activity was to spread mulch at the Bald Ridge Boys Lodge. It was a fun, hard working job! But with lots of hands the job went quickly. And Jim Yarbrough made an excellent supervisor! Barbara Yarbrough was really good at shoveling mulch in a wheelbarrow as was Jenis Sharp, Rich Newcomb and Bob Wade. Driving the wheelbarrow's were Rick Perreault, Gary Beard and Harold Mullins. Kathy Perreault had the job to rake everything out and make it look nice. Great job everyone!!

Getting ready for the Fourth of July! Thanks for all the flag subscriber's we have and for the new ones coming in. Those coming in this week will not be able to go up for the fourth but will start Labor Day weekend. We thank you for understanding that we are a volunteer organization with limited volunteers and supplies ready. We are always looking for new members to help us with our projects with the kids and putting out the flags. Please let us know you are interested and we will contact you!

Congratulations to Shirin Deepak of Denmark HS and Samiksha Gaherwar of Lambert HS for winning the Zone 4 Oratorical Contest and moving on to the Area Contest on May 16! You did a great job! Very proud of you!
