Food insecurity in the 18 counties we serve is greater now than ever before. People who have never needed assistance before are coming to our Mobile Pantries for help. In order to address the greater need during the pandemic, we have expanded our Mobile Pantry Program and to reach more people. On average, we are distributing more than 900,000 lbs. of food in a month throughout our service area. These food boxes contain canned and dry non-perishable foods. We also provide... frozen meat, fresh produce, dairy, and bakery items along with this supplement of food. The needs are great and it's our mission to provide food for families, children, and our senior citizens. No one should ever be hungry. Want to help? You can help by donating. $1 can provide 6 meals to a family in your community. #feedthevalley https://feedingthevalley.org/ways-to-give/

Families often must choose between food or rent, utilities, transportation, or other necessities. What many take for granted, is a blessing to others. Food bank...s are able to eliminate the need to make major sacrifices by providing reliable food boxes full of healthy foods. Keep these families of hardworking people and children in your hearts as you consider donating to your local food banks. #militaryfamily #militaryfamilies #endhunger #foodinsecurity See more

A year ago this week....we expanded our operations into four new counties: Clay, Dougherty, Lee and Terrell. We were ready to serve! Little did we know what t...he future held for us in the coming months. Our team in Albany hit the ground running and, by the end of this September, more than 3.4 million pounds of food has been distributed in these counties - providing more than 2.8 million meals for families experiencing food insecurity. We thank our new partner agencies and corporate friends who have embraced us as their community food bank. We have a lot more to do and look forward to the future. To our FTV Albany team - Great work! We are so proud and thank you for all of your passion and hard work to solve hunger. #feedthevalley
