Good morning y'all! Feeling frustrated this morning and felt like it warranted a post. So, I shared some photos of my client yesterday, with a great response from you all. [Thank you!] I haven't boosted a post in a while, so I felt like it would be a good time to "boost" one. (i.e.: I pay FB to drop my ad on target audiences newsfeed.)... Yesterday my request to boost a post was denied and the request for a follow-up review was also denied. My attempt this morning to boost a brand new post, same client- with just before and after pictures and a shorted caption, catered better towards FB's mumbo-jumbo requirements was denied too. The kicker? Facebook said that posts may not contain content that has unexpected or unlikely results. So, here's my request. Let's go "old school" Facebook. Share the post below for me. https://www.facebook.com/1814150465555488/posts/2461265584177303/

Color correction, before and after! This was NOT AT ALL the worst of the worst color corrections I've done. This client had been working for almost an entire year to grow out her old box color, but an upcoming event brought her to my chair. Y'all all know I will complain and try my best to get people to avoid that ONE aisle in the grocery store, but here's a little insight as to WHY it's so dreaded. The biggest problem with box dye for me is, consumers think that color can ...be a one size fits all (or, one box fits all) formula. The beauty of coming to a trained professional, is we can customize your color for YOU. Not every color formula requires 30 volume or a 45 minute processing time. There are SO many things we take into consideration when we are trying to deliver your goal-color. What's the scariest thing about using box dye? You are risking the integrity of your hair by applying a whole bunch of *unknown* chemicals - and quite possibly metallic salts. FYI- metallic salts + professional color = smoke A common misconception is that if you have colored your hair at home, and even 6 months has passed, many people think that "all the color has faded" or "fell out". This is SO not at all the case. Variations such as well water, hard water, chlorine, sun, and every day pollution that we come into contact with can affect chemically altered color. The only way to TRULY rid your hair of any artificial color is cutting it off. (Ask me about the importance of color safe, salon quality shampoo + conditioner ) If you have previously colored your hair at home, and are looking to reclaim it- contact me for a complimentary consultation and let's see your hair get back to healthy!
