If you have fine hair mousse is a great product for volume. It's lightweight and airy. It's also great for defining curls in airdried curly hair! Just make sure to use it correctly.

If you struggle with frizz. This shampoo is a great start and then you'll need some sort of styling cream. The only cure for frizz in this humid environment is product!

Curling with a wand

If your hair is fragile and you have alot of breakage and never seems to grow, you could definitely benefit from using a strengthening shampoo. It will help build up the hair shaft to protect against these things.

If you have trouble with your color fading, you need to use a good shampoo for color treated hair! Over time color fades, that's just the facts. Sulfates strip your color. Quality shampoos can keep that from happening and your color stays vibrant longer . Even better would be a sulfate free shampoo. Just be aware that most sulfate free shampoos don't lather that well. You still get cleansing, just not with lather .

Which shampoo should I use? There are so many options but you want to get the best one for your hair! If you get one that's not right for you, you could have lots of hair struggles. We will look at different ones over the next week. My hair is curly yet fine and I have hilights and a dry scalp. During the summer months I alternate between a purple shampoo for brightness and a Tea tree shampoo for my scalp issues.

Should you shampoo before your color service? Short answer no. Shampooing less than 24-48 hours can cause tingling or itching scalp during and after your service so best not to. Only exception is if you have very oily scalp and then the oils could inhibit the color process but this is usually rare.

If you have short hair you'll need a cut every 4-6 weeks in order to maintain the style If you have medium hair, you can go every 6-8 weeks to cut off split ends and maintain the style If you have long hair, every 8-12 weeks is fine but you may need to cut at least 1/2 inch or more depending on the hair texture to keep the ends looking blunt and healthy.
