The FPC staff gathered to pray this morning, and every Monday morning for the ministries of the church. Join us in prayer during the month of May and use the new daily prayer guide, available on our app and website. (Link in bio).
Make plans to attend the send off for Andy and Alli Lee. Andy will share about his new ministry opportunity in South Asia. This event will not be livestreamed or posted to the web, so he will have greater freedom to share details about this call. Children and youth are welcome! A reception on the Plaza will follow evening worship. Sunday evening's service will focus on missions, and we will pray over Andy and Alli as they prepare to serve in South Asia. A congregational meeting will also take place during this service to dissolve our pastoral relationship with Andy, releasing him from his role at FPC.
Sunday School classes resume this Sunday! We're so excited to be back and meeting together again. For a listing of Adult, Youth, and Children's Sunday School classroom locations check out the the worship updates page on our website. (Link in comments)

We are looking forward to celebrating the fourth Sunday of Advent with you all tomorrow! This week our focus is on Joy as we enter into Sunday. In the morning services, Pastor John Franks will continue our Advent sermon series Longing for Advent, with his sermon "Restoration Joy" from Psalm 126. In the evening, return to hear from Pastor Mike Phillips as he concludes the "Hebrews: Jesus Is Better" sermon series with his sermon "The Faith of Community" from Hebrews 13:11-25. Christmas Eve Services are at 3, 5, and 7 p.m. this year. Make plans to attend one of these three services as we celebrate our Savior Jesus and his coming into the world. We're excited to celebrate with you!

Do you have a favorite Christmas ornament? Click on each photo to hear about the favorite ornaments of member and chrismon creator, Sandy Lentz, and staff members, John Barrett and Sandy Lanclos.
Did you know...that our maintenance staff repaint the social distancing circles on the grounds each week as we prepare for worship? We are so grateful to Gregory, James, Sam, and Robert for their tireless work each week to help prepare the entire campus for Sunday worship. If you see them this Sunday would you encourage them with a "thank you." We look forward to seeing you this Reformation Sunday morning as guest speaker, Rev. Paul Hahn, preaches on "The Largeness of God" f...rom 2 Samuel 24:1-25. Rev. Hahn is the Coordinator of Mission to North America (MNA), giving leadership and direction to church planting, church renewal, and missional partnerships. He has planted churches in Austin, Texas, and Knoxville, Tennessee. In the evening service, we return to our series "Hebrews: Jesus Is Better" with a message on "Running, Looking, Enduring" by Pastor John Franks from Hebrews 12:1-3. This week we will observe communion during the evening service.

The joy of meeting needs through the mercy fund is just one of the many things we got to celebrate this year during the Love Gift Fellowship. We ended our evening singing "Go Tell it on the Mountain." A big "Thank You" to our deacons who planned the evening and made it happen! We are thankful for these men and their dedication to serving both First Pres and the community! And another thank you to Shirley Hatton DiRenzo and Tastefully Done Catering for providing the delicious desserts. The Lord allows FPC to extend generosity and grace to those in our church and community in a number of ways. If you'd like to donate to the FPC mercy fund to continue this work, text "Love Gift $" with the amount you'd like to give to 706.550.6813.
