Everywhere I go, I see 'Hiring Signs.' Many businesses have had to shorten their hours because of lack of help resulting in a loss of revenue. Extend extra kindness, patience and respect to those who are showing up and working! Make a point of telling service providers they are doing a great job. It always reinforces positive behavior and a great morale booster!

Ask for the manager and sing the praises of your waiter/server. "I came in for a meal, and because of this server, I had a dining experience." I do this often and it truly resonates and reinforces the value of the front-line worker.

Service is the rent we pay for living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time.
