7 Amazing Years! Today marks the 7th Anniversary of the launch of Five Stones Counseling. I can't let it pass without an offering of praise and gratitude for all that God has done. He has been so good and gracious, generous and giving, helpful and hands-on. From the onset, we whispered prayers for a garden, a porch, a place to walk and talk, a fireplace to crackle in the background. A place to host others in love. This year, God answered that prayer. Our office relocated to t...he main farmhouse of an old dairy farm, and it is a beautiful, wonderful space. I am ever reminded that he leads; we follow. In this unusual year, our office is currently (temporarily) operating in new ways; however, the green sprawling lawn and the oaks trees with benches serve to remind me that God has a plan, a purpose, and a timing that can be trusted. In 2013, we launched with mighty prayers, a big dream, a great friend, 3 chairs, and an end table. Quickly, so many things fell into place including office furnishings, a website, clients, friends to work alongside, a supportive board, and more blessings than I could list. There have been a lot of weeks where John and I have eaten more meals at the office than home, and I’ll confess we’ve crashed on the couches a few times for some zzzz’s. We have stayed up late and continued dreaming about and for the ministry. We are always learning and looking for ways to serve God within the framework of our calling and gifts. 7 Amazing Years! For all that God has done, we give thanks, and we look forward to the days of ministry that lie ahead. We also thank each of you for the trust, support, prayers, and love that you have shown to us.
