Aristotle said We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. A Philosophy of Excellence identifies how you want to conduct yourself, how you want to lead, and what you plan to accomplish. It starts with identifying what you value. Do you value Family? Hard work? Respect? Are those things showing up in your actions? Our daily actions are driven by the values we have. We want to make sure that you’re bringing excellence to all you do, as a Soldie...r, parent, spouse, etc.! Take a look at the list of values below; pick your TOP FIVE values, then think about how you show you value those things daily. Don’t see something you value on the list? A Philosophy of Excellence is the philosophy you use to guide how you lead, how you live, how you bring the best of who you are to what you do daily. You philosophy is made up of beliefs, values, and strengths that you have and leverage in different situations. Today, we want to hear from YOU- what values, strengths, or qualities do effective leaders have? Think about great leaders you’ve had. What made them great?
