The One Where They Said Goodbye... Thank you, Savannah. It’s been a privilege.
Hey Foundery friends! Just a word of encouragement for you all. We are in this together and we will get to the other side of it. In the winter time, when the trees go bare, the roots grow deeper. How can this be that kind of season for you? For us? For the community? Something to let percolate.
The Foundery will not be reopening just yet. We will be letting you all know about our reopening plans on our social media in the future. In the meantime, please remain diligent and healthy.
Hang in there, everyone. We want you to keep healthy and safe so we can see ALL of you soon. Peace
I know we say happy Easter, then move on to Monday as usual in the modern world, but Easter is actually a season. The Monday after Easter is a step on the journey of the question now what? The resurrection happened, now what? New life is just starting, now what? A promise is on the horizon, now what? In truth, this is a life-long question to be asking - now what? Easter has the ability to set a trajectory, to orient us in a specific direction, but we have to do the wo...rk of walking that way. We have to be attentive to what would guide us on this new way - a way that is counter intuitive to our selfish pursuits, a way that takes a beat to consider what might be not just smart but wise. If Easter can happen, how do we walk through the dangers of our broken world in a way that is true to what Easter means? In these moments of distancing and grief over what we can’t do, Easter offers connection with something deep and mysterious, but full of super-natural hope. Happy now what? See more
Hey folks, how ya bean? Chai can’t wait to see you when we open again! Miss you a latte.
March 14th was our last post to the social media medium. Sorry for the delay. We’ve all been scrambling since - each to our own way. But we wanted to say hi again. We wanted to check in on you all and see how you’re doing. Please post how all this Corona reorientation is going for you in this thread. And let’s offer prayers, good vibes, however you exert your inner goodness on behalf of the good of others; let’s do that here. Meanwhile, bright blessings to all.
We are saddened to have to share this news, but effective immediately we are going to be closing for 2 weeks due to collateral concerns related to the current health situation. We are deeply grateful to all who continue to support us and work with us in mission. We share our blessings with you all and highest hopes for what is on the other side of this window of time. Stay healthy, be safe, share kindness and good coffee
