This Sunday, October 4th, we will observe World Communion Sunday. This is the day we celebrate our unity with our sisters and brothers around the world. As you prepare your bread and cup for Sunday, sing along to the jubilant Siyahambe/We Are Walking in the Light of God, here sung by the congregation one year ago. Members of the FPC Chancel Choir have become quite competent Zoomers! We meet each Wednesday night at 7pm to chat, sing a hymn, and pray together on Zoom. Tonight we sang One Bread, One Body in our anticipation of World Communion Sunday. If you would like to participate in this digital meeting, contact Benji Stegner.

Harold Friedell's anthem "Draw Us In the Spirit's Tether" is a choir favorite that ties beautifully with Pastor Lee's message this morning: Draw us in the Spirit's tether For when humbly, in thy name, Two or three are met together, ... Thou art in the midst of them: Alleluya! Alleluya! Touch we now thy garment's hem. Hear it here, sung by the choir members of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston, Texas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56Xx50tRoUw

This Sunday, we welcome tenor Chance Passmore to sing in worship, offering Moses Hogan's "Give Me Jesus." Chance grew up in Dawsonville and later attended Piedmont College and Oklahoma City University. He currently resides in Clarkesville, Georgia where he sings at First Presbyterian Church, Clarkesville and hangs out with his dog Duke and fiance Kristen. Join us in person at 8:30am (masked and socially distant--bring your own chair), or worship with us via the live stream at 8:30am and 11am (https://fpcga.online.church/).
