Today was a good day for Frank Johnson supervisor Clarence Thomas, Jr! He received the award recently bestowed upon him by his peers and management for the Best Innovative Virtual Video for his "Outdoor Exploration" series on power walking, hiking, yoga & Tai Chi. Check it out on our FACEBOOK page from this spring & summer. Afterwards the boss came back to the rec center to a donated original painting by Macon artist Rhonda Miller. The energetic creative has had works throughout the city in museums, galleries and private locales. This one is a mixed medium African female warrior inspired piece now hanging in the sup's office. #Awards& Arts @FrankJohnsonRecCenter

Due to a COVID 19 staff related matter TOMORROW'S scheduled Macon-Bibb County Health Department- Frank Johnson Recreation Center Children's Health & Safety Fair has been postponed. Frank Johnson is closed Dec 21, 22 & 23 as a result along with December 24 & 25 for Christmas. We will resume business on December 28. Happy Holidays!

Trunk or Treat Update: 10/30 from 6-8pm, Movie will begin at 8:00 *The Trunk or Treat will be a Drive Thru Event. Participants are to remain inside of vehicles at all times. All trunks/vendors will be masked and gloved. * The Movie Screening, will be a Drive Thru Event, in the parking lot of Luther Williams Stadium. * All other activities have been canceled due to health restrictions at the moment.
