William is in his forties and weighs around 400 lbs. Today Alberto was able to find a rollator walker to help him get around. He recently was scared by having a heart attack and now wants to lose his weight. Please pray for him to lean on the Holy Spirit for strength and not lose heart.
Ronald, who works with the Department of Revenue, receives a new chair. Alberto assembled it from parts. It looks like brand new and Ronald was thrilled. Ronald received his first chair from FRIDLA in 2006.
So many of you have played a part in making this happen. You will be changing lives. Praise God that we got the green light in Customs this morning. David, pictured with Judy, who was responsible for bringing it from Arica to Santa Cruz. Look at the truck that was used to bring the container from Arica, Chile to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They then unloaded it so we can begin preparations for custom-fitting. God is so good! Thank you for your prayers! Now pray for many to be added to the Kingdom of God.
Santa Cruz, Bolivia: The container is in Customs. We hope it will be released tomorrow, Saturday, May 19, 2018. Stay tuned!
We received a request from California for a wheelchair for a young man in La Paz, Bolivia. At the time, we had a container going to Bolivia in one month. We requested a photo and the measurements of the person. Alberto was able to find exactly what was needed and get it ready to put on the container. Upon arrival in Bolivia, the wheelchair was shipped by bus from Santa Cruz to La Paz. A pastor received the chair and then delivered it to the young man and his family. A Bible was also included in the box. The pastor then presented the Gospel to the family and they prayed to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is God at work. Praise HIM!
Sometimes we encounter patients who can only speak Quechua. A family member was able to help us communicate with her. The hat she is wearing is the identifying sign of her heritage.
There were medical volunteers (doctors, nurses and physical therapists) helping and encouraging those who came to be fitted with mobility equipment. The recipients could feel the love of Jesus all around them.
