Thank you to everyone who attended Mrs. Payton's artist talk today. "It is an African-American story. It is a Southern story. It is a Mercer story. But as a whole, it is an American story, and it is a story of hope." -Dean Anita Olson Gustafson Read more in The Telegraph & macon.com! https://www.macon.com/article245946090.html

For me, the time is perfect. Not only to help people to see that there’s been things happening all along, but for people to see that there were things that could derail or change their direction, but it can’t stop them from dreaming about who they want to be in life. Right now, with the divisiveness in the United States, we need to understand that for us to be the way we want to present ourselves to the world, we need to understand that while you deal with things as they come, you should never be losing hope that things could be better, that things could work out better than you ever dreamed. -Faith of the Dreamer by Gwendolyn Payton
