During the month of November, the Fulton County Department of Public Works invite you to celebrate F.O.G. Prevention month! F.O.G. stands for fats, oils, and grease. If poured down the drain, these materials solidify as they cool which can cause major problems, including sewer blockages and backups in your home. Instead, dispose of F.O.G. by scraping plates, pots, and pans into the trash before washing, or pouring grease off into a container to be trashed once it cools. To learn more about Fulton County’s F.O.G. prevention program, contact Kelli L. Edwards at [email protected]
